Most homeowners do not know which electrical jobs require a licensed electrician and which do not. Device swaps -- outlets, switches, fixtures, ceiling fans, smart home devices -- are legal handyman territory in Colorado when the panel work is already done. New circuits, panel work, and service changes require a licensed electrician. We do the device-level work and are straight with you about what needs to go to a licensed electrician.

Smart home installs are increasingly where we work. Smart locks, video doorbells, smart switches, motion sensors, smart thermostats -- all of them have wiring nuances that cause problems when installed wrong. Most of our electrical calls are device swaps gone wrong that someone tried themselves and got stuck.

We work clean: circuits off, properly torqued connections, box fill checked, covers plate-matched, junction boxes properly closed. No wire nuts hanging outside boxes. No overloaded circuits taped together and pushed behind a plate.

    FAQ

    Questions about electrical

Do you do panel or circuit work?
No. Panel upgrades, new circuit runs, and service changes require a licensed electrician. We refer you to one we trust if that is what the job needs.
Can you install a ceiling fan where there is no fixture?
If there is an existing box and wiring, yes. If you need a new circuit run, that is licensed electrician territory.
Do you install smart home systems?
Yes. Smart switches, dimmers, locks, doorbells, thermostats, motion sensors -- we handle the physical install and basic setup.
