Most drywall jobs look easy until you try to match the texture. A skim coat is straightforward. Orange peel, knockdown, or hand-troweled textures take real practice to blend invisibly. The tell-tale sign of an amateur patch is the halo -- the area where the repair meets the original wall but the texture or sheen does not quite match. We do not leave halos.

We handle everything from nail pops and small holes to full section replacements from water damage or doorknob impacts. Repairs are taped, mudded, sanded in stages, textured to match, and primed. Paint is blended or full-wall depending on what gives the cleanest result. We clean up completely before we leave.

If there is water damage, we talk about the source before we close up the wall. Patching over active moisture is a waste of time and money for everyone.

    FAQ

    Questions about drywall

Can you match my existing texture?
Yes. We match orange peel, knockdown, skip trowel, and smooth finishes. We test on a small area first if the texture is unusual.
Do I need to buy paint?
If you have the original paint, bring it out. If not, we can color-match at the hardware store -- but a full wall repaint always looks better than a spot blend.
What if the damage was caused by water?
We assess the moisture source before patching. Closing up wet drywall creates mold. We will tell you if you need a plumber or roofer to address the source first.
